Yesterday’s critiques went well. After everyone started to participate it was interesting to see what others did and how they went about doing it. I am glad people enjoyed my concept but I really think that some of the others beat out the “glorified scroll wheel”. Dave’s project concept was awesome and I really thought he was going to have a difficult time building the hardware to support it, but overall I think it turned out great.
Justin’s of course was awesome in the most ghetto of fashions. And the fact that his project was one of the few that wasn’t ‘delicate’ only made it that much better.
Matt’s was probably one of my favorites, if I was so inclined to give such a title (they were all pretty bad ass). For him, it was the hardware that got me hooked. It felt comfortable to navigate using the Etch-a-Sketch functionality he based his around, and the second I saw it in action I knew I had to try it first hand. The software and hardware components complemented each other quite well.
I really hope to see Brent’s in action for his hardware’s internal guts looked the most complex and interesting; gears at Ax-Man for the win! Hopefully next week we can get a preview.
